Made with an exclusive Unishield process, a pair of Fighting Weights still provides all the protection of the original Firebreaker, yet is light­weight enough so that the difference can truly be felt. Independent clinical studies reveal that reducing a pound of weight on the foot has the same stress-relieving benefit as taking 6.4 pounds off a firefighter’s back. That means Fighting Weight boots’ lighter weight can translate to at least an eight-pound reduction off a firefighter’s load when compared with the heavier boots of other manufacturers.
