Ventilated Full Drape (VFD)
Pbi® mesh ventilating panel with double layer head, neck and full 8” chest/back drapes provides extra interface overlap at the chest and back that some people prefer, but others find too bulky.

Ventilated Face & Chest (VFC)
Pbi® mesh ventilating panel with double layer head, neck and 3.5” drape provides the required amount of interface overlap at the chest, back and shoulders most people prefer.

Face & Chest (FC)
Double layer crown, head, neck and 3.5” drape provides the required amount of interface overlap at the chest, back and shoulders, but does not offer the advantages of ventilating models. This is a non-vented hood product

Nomex® (2-layer wt. 16.4 oz.)
To meet TPP requirements, Nomex® hoods (creamy white in color) were beefed up to 8.2 ounce, 100% Nomex® knit. This material handles perspiration only moderately well and, while on the heavy side, is on the economical end of the scale.

 P-84®/PFR Rayon/Kevlar® (2-layer wt. 16.8 oz.)
Available in Navy blue and pale yellow (natural), this 8.4 ounce knit is a blend of 40% P-84, 55% PFR Rayon, 5% Kevlar®. This blend handles perspiration very well, is a step up in heat resistance, is slightly heavy, but the most economical choice.

 Pbi®/PFR Rayon (2-layer wt. 12.0 oz.)
Bronze in color, the 6.0 ounce knit is a 20% Pbi®, 80% PFR Rayon blend. Yet another step up in heat resistance, it also handles perspiration extremely well and is often chosen as being the most comfortable of the materials. While a bit more expensive, it has been the choice for overall best insulation, heat resistance and comfort for almost 15 years.

 Pbi®/Kevlar® (2-layer wt. 14 oz.)
The very top end material when it comes to both flame resistance and durability, the 8.0 ounce 40% Pbi®, 60% Kevlar® blend knit is lined with the more comfortable and absorbent 6.0 ounce 20% Pbi®, 80% PFR Rayon. It is the best of both worlds without compromising safety or comfort, but with the highest price tag.

Fleece Velour (1-layer wt. 14.5. oz.)
This is one of our most comfortable hood products with the cozy feel of your favorite fleece velour winter wear. The fleece material dries very quickly (in fact you can almost shake it dry). The fleece velour fabric is black in color and is an engineered blend of 93% Nomex, 5% Kevlar and 2% Carbon fiber.
