Flash Preventing Emulsifier

WHAT IS DENKO FLASH PREVENTING EMULSIFIER?
DENKO FLASH PREVENTING EMULSIFIER
is a biodegradable product that breaks down the molecular structure of hydrocarbons thereby making them water miscible.

WHERE IS DENKO FLASH PREVENTING EMULSIFIER USED?
DENKO FLASH PREVENTING EMULSIFIER

can be safely used to neutralize any non-ignited hydrocarbon spill big or small. This includes oil, gasoline, diesel, kerosene, etc. This product is used by fire departments, haz-mat teams, gas stations, manufacturing plants, trucking companies, airline companies, and many more organizations that store, handle or transport petroleum based products. It’s used on spills above or below the surface, in gas tanks at MVA’s, sewer systems, to change the class when hauling and dumping flammable waste, on water surfaces such as lakes and ponds and much, much more.

HOW IS DENKO FLASH PREVENTING EMULSIFIER USED?
DENKO FLASH PREVENTING EMULSIFIER
will easily take care of small spills without the need of special equipment. The product can be poured or sprayed directly over the spill at a 20 to 1 ratio, gently agitated then flushed with water. The entire area will turn milky in color indicating that the area is secure and flash cannot occur. If there is sufficient pressure behind the water, such as with a booster line, agitation will take place when the water is applied. For large spills an in-line educator system, proportioner or any standard foam system can be used with a 1% flow. Bearing in mind that because the DENKO FLASH PREVENTING EMULSIFIER is now being applied in a diluted state the area will require more agitation and working with the handlines. As an extra margin of safety our product also contains an aqueous film forming agent that will remain on the surface until the area is completely cleaned up. In the event that an area of a large spill has not been thoroughly emulsified, the aqueous film will prevent ignition by sealing off the spill from an air source much the same as when using aqueous film forming foam.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION OF EMULSIFIER?
70% of the flammable liquid spills that occur today are, in fact, not ignited. Of those, 90% are small enough to be safely handled without a foam system. This product can be used in handheld sprayers or bottles and has proven to be all that is necessary for application on those small situations. In these cases a simple garden hose can supply the water. For the large spills a conventional foam system is recommended. Before using this product, test drills should be performed to ascertain the best applications for your situations.

WHY NOT JUST USE FOAM?
DENKO FLASH PREVENTING EMULSIFIER
has three major advantages over foam. First and foremost is cost. Independent studies have shown that when you add up the total cost of equipment, man hours and materials, this product reduces costs by as much as 90%. Secondly, this emulsifier can be used in places that foam can’t such as sewer systems and underground storage tank leaks. Incidentally, it will also do a great job in cleaning the undercarriages and engines of fire apparatus or anything that has grease or oil on its surface. Finally is cleanup. If you use foam or any absorbing type product you still have to clean it up and dispose of it. In most situations, when using this product and providing you have added sufficient water, the spill can safely be allowed to dissipate.

Drench The Additive for Class "A" Firefighting

WHAT IS drench?
drench
is a liquid additive designed to dramatically reduce extinguishing time when fighting class “A” and “AB” fires. By combining the properties of several products used in firefighting today we have come up with one super concentrate that increases penetration, reduces friction and cools like no other product in the past. Fire departments are cutting knock-down times in half and reducing water usage by as much as two-thirds.

SO drench IS A WET WATER, RIGHT?
Absolutely not, drench is a blend of four distinctly different  chemical technologies maximizing the performance of several elements of the water. Penetration is increased up to 400%, friction loss is reduced by as much as 45% and vaporization takes place twice as fast.

WHERE IS drench USED?
drench
can be used to safely and quickly extinguish any combustible that would normally be treated with water. This includes wood structures, bedding, trash compactors, hay, brush, forests, automobiles and tires.

HOW IS drench USED?
drench
has been designed with simplicity in mind. This product needs only to be poured directly into the water supply at a rate of one quart to five hundred gallons of water. In other words, just pour one bottle of this concentrate into a five hundred gallon booster tank and you’re ready to go. Dispersion is immediate and no special equipment is required. If preferred, this product can be diluted with 5 gallons of water and then picked up with an educator at a one percent flow. Add one ounce to a pressurized water extinguisher, Hudson sprayer, or Indian tank for incomparable performance.

WHY USE drench? WATER IS MUCH CHEAPER
drench will literally cut knockout time in half. This means that man hours are cut in half, water and tear on equipment is cut in half, water damage is cut in half and rekindles…..virtually non-existent. Studies have proven that by using drench consistently on all class “A” and “AB” situations, there is actually a budget savings at the end of the year. Therefore, drench is actually cheaper to use than water.

WILL drench HARM EQUIPMENT?
Because drench is so highly concentrated just a very small amount of chemical is ever introduced into the system. As a result, this product will not cause corrosion in tanks or lines or gum-up valves. Furthermore, the treated water can be safely left in the apparatus for extended periods of time. In addition, the same treated water can be used with high expansion foam or AFFF. This is a tremendous help to firefighting agencies that have just one or two pieces of equipment. drench is non-toxic and 100% biodegradable.

CAN drench BE USED INSTEAD OF CLASS “A” FOAM?
YES
. As a matter of fact, drench will out perform most class “A” foams in regards to knockout times, water consumption and dissipation of heat. In addition, drench is less than one-fifth the cost in use and doesn’t require the purchase of special hardware.
